Meet Kate | Award-Winning Family Photographer Singapore

Hi, I’m Kate, a British photographer and the founder of Littleones Photography.

I established Littleones in London in 2004, and in Singapore in 2007. What began as a passion has grown into one of Singapore’s most recognised luxury portrait studios, specialising in newborn, baby and family photography.

Before becoming a professional photographer, I was a qualified nurse. That experience continues to shape my calm, gentle approach, especially as a Newborn Photographer Singapore families trust. Working with babies requires patience, confidence and an instinct for reading little cues, and my background has given me a deep understanding of how to keep newborns safe, settled and comfortable.

I also grew up surrounded by babies. My Mum ran a nursery from our home, so from a young age I was learning how to soothe, distract, entertain and calm little ones. Wrangling toddlers, turning around grumpy faces and becoming a natural “baby whisperer” all came long before I picked up a camera.

As a mum to three beautiful children and step-mum to another three, I understand first-hand how quickly childhood passes. Those fleeting stages, the tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, the spontaneous laughter, they are exactly why I feel so passionate about what I do.

Over the years, I have qualified with the prestigious Master Photographers Association and also hold qualifications with the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society. I’ve been honoured to receive numerous awards, including being named Best Portrait Photographer by Singapore Tatler for three consecutive years. Expat Living readers have also voted Littleones as Best Family Photographer Singapore for nine years in a row — something I’m incredibly proud of.

For more than 20 years, I have specialised in luxury Family Photography Singapore families return to year after year. I photograph newborns, babies, children and families either in my clients’ homes, on location in beautiful natural surroundings, or in my boutique Singapore studio.

Natural light is at the heart of my work. I love creating soft, flattering, light-filled portraits with a timeless feel. My signature style is fresh and natural and often outdoors with gentle light filtering through the trees. At the same time, I love the creative possibilities of studio lighting, producing fine art portraits designed to become heirloom pieces passed down through generations.

My studio has a relaxed, homely atmosphere and is thoughtfully designed to be the perfect environment for newborns, babies and families. Sessions are calm, unhurried and child-led. We play music, we laugh, and children are given the space to simply be themselves.

Alongside newborn and family photography, I also create modern, elegant women’s portraits and personal branding photography — offering a refined alternative to the traditional corporate headshot for entrepreneurs, creatives and business owners.

Above all, I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day and meet so many wonderful families from around the world and preserve the moments that matter most.
