Meet Kate | Award-Winning Family Photographer Singapore
Hi, I'm Kate, a British photographer and the founder of Littleones Photography.
I established Littleones in London in 2004, and in Singapore in 2007. What began as a passion has grown into one of Singapore's most recognised names in luxury portrait photography, specialising in maternity, newborn, baby and family photography.
Before becoming a professional photographer, I was a qualified nurse. That experience continues to shape my calm, gentle approach, and it is a big part of why so many Singapore families trust me as their newborn photographer. Working with babies requires patience, confidence and an instinct for reading little cues, and my background has given me a deep understanding of how to keep newborns safe, settled and comfortable.
I also grew up surrounded by babies. My mum ran a nursery from our home, so from a young age I was learning how to soothe, distract, entertain and calm little ones. Wrangling toddlers, turning around grumpy faces and becoming a natural "baby whisperer" all came long before I picked up a camera.
As a mum to three beautiful children and step-mum to another three, I understand first-hand how quickly childhood passes. Those fleeting stages, the tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, the spontaneous laughter, are exactly why I feel so passionate about what I do.
I am an international award winning Associate Master Photographer, accredited by the Master Photographers Association, and I also hold qualifications with the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society. I've been honoured to receive numerous awards, including being named Best Portrait Photographer by Singapore Tatler for three consecutive years.
The awards that mean the most to me are the ones families vote for. In 2026, HoneyKids readers voted Littleones Gold for Best Family Photographer in the Best in Singapore Awards, and Expat Living readers have voted for Littleones nine years running, first as a Gold award winner and now in their Best Photographer category.
For over 20 years, I have specialised in luxury family photography in Singapore, and many families return to me year after year. Some I first met at their newborn session, and I have photographed those same children all the way through to graduating from high school. I photograph and edit every session myself, whether it is at your home, outdoors in beautiful natural surroundings, or in the studio.
Natural light is at the heart of my work. I love creating soft, flattering, light-filled portraits with a timeless feel. My signature style is fresh and natural, often outdoors with gentle light filtering through the trees.
I work from two studios. My natural light studio is bright and airy, filled with soft daylight. The fine art studio is where I use professional studio lighting, shaping light and shadow to create elegant fine art portraits designed to become heirloom pieces passed down through generations.
Wherever we are, sessions are calm, unhurried and child-led. We play music, we laugh, and children are given the space to simply be themselves.
Alongside maternity, newborn and family photography, I also offer lifestyle and corporate headshots.
Above all, I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day, meeting wonderful families from all over the world and preserving the moments that matter most.
